Keymedia's Arabic and Muslim Ministry uses television, radio, the Internet and printed literature as well as local missionaries, in our target countries, for the key purpose of planting churches and discipling local believers to take the Gospel to their nation's people. We work in Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Urdu and Indonesian languages.
Keymedia's Arabic Media Ministry began in 1988, with the production of Christian radio programs and follow-up ministry. Television-evangelism began in 1993, through a local Sudanese television channel. Our television ministry grew in 1996 by advancing to satellite television broadcasts. In 2003, the ministry solely became responsible for a 24 hour Christian satellite channel. The schedule includes pre-taped shows and six 90-minute call-in live shows. Our Arabic programs can be seen via satellite to over ¾ of the world. Through the Internet, programs can be seen 24 hours a day. In our target countries, we have follow-up ministry offices and local church contacts. Many of our international staff accepted Jesus Christ through our ministry.
Results
In 2010, we received:
- 500,000 viewer responses
- Over 250,000 viewer responses from our Internet ministry
- Over 100 trained staff on our chat forums
- Over 50 home churches began in our target countries
- Every week 1,500 accepted Jesus Christ
- Every year we publish 12 evangelism or discipleship based books
- Over 10,000 Bibles are distributed yearly
In the past seven years, we have received 1.5 million viewer responses.
Keymedia's Arabic Ministry is a forerunner in the following:
- Internet evangelism websites, chat rooms as well as internet television and radio channels
- Production of daring evangelic programs aimed to our audience in our targeted countries
- Live television program follow-up ministry
Other Languages
Keymedia is involved in a Nordic-based project to bring a 24-hour satellite television channel to the people of the Turkish language, along with languages from the same family as Turkish.
We have established Urdu and Indonesian language websites. In addition, Keymedia is preparing to start a 24-hour satellite channel in these languages, as well as program production in the near future.
Keymedia has been involved in Farsi-language program production for many years.
